Nuggets Beat Clippers 106-92
J.R. Smith scored 19 points and Chris Anderson hauled in 15 rebounds, as the Denver Nuggets topped the Los Angeles Clippers, 106-92, to finish out the preseason for both clubs.
Allen Iverson struggled in his last preseason tuneup, hitting just 1-of-8 shots for seven points, and Carmelo Anthony scored 11 points for Denver, which will open its regular season in Utah on Wednesday.
Cuttino Mobley tallied a game-high 21 points, and rookie DeAndre Jordan grabbed 10 rebounds for the Clippers, who will face the Lakers to open up their regular season next Wednesday. Eric Gordon, the Clippers' first-round pick this past offseason, added 17 points in defeat.
