Eagles Cheerleaders Return To Mexico
The NFL and NFL Mexico invited the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders to help kick off the 2007 season.
Eight members of the squad visited Mexico City to take part in a series of promotional events, including autographs, media interviews and meet-and-greets with NFL fans
The presence of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders marked the 88th kickoff of the NFL season in Mexico City and promised to be an exciting part of Mexican fans' celebration of American football.
International visits made by the Eagles Cheerleaders include Bosnia, Hong Kong and England as part of an NFL promotional tour of the UK. The cheerleaders also participated in NFL events during Super Bowl XLI weekend in Miami, Florida. They are frequently featured in national publications, including MAXIM and FHM Magazine and perform at Lincoln Financial Field for 69,000 fans at Eagles home games, wearing uniforms designed by renowned designer Vera Wang.
It is 11:00 pm here in Mexico City and the eight of us are finally home from an EXTREMELY long day of non-stop appearances. We have, however, been having an absolute blast since we arrived! Yes, we have had grueling long days filled with appearances and performances intertwined with our own rehearsals, but we have also been surrounded by the best company and treated like royalty since the second we stepped off our plane. All these aspects have made this trip truly incredible thus far.
Today we started our day by visiting a renowned television station here in Mexico City called TV Azteca. We spent several hours being interviewed and performing as well as partaking in a photo shoot. For the second time during our trip, we were on a live morning show which would be equivalent to our ""Good Morning America""…but much more laid-back! It was been an absolute pleasure to be around the people working for TV Azteca and everyone else here in Mexico City. They are all extremely welcoming and enjoyable to work with.
We actually had the opportunity stop at an outstanding Argentinean restaurant for lunch today. All the food we have had here has been very good but this particular meal was exceptional! After lunch we had several more performances and a chance to meet and interact with NFL fans here in Mexico. I speak Norwegian and took 4 years of French in high school and did not know a spit of Spanish when I first arrived which made it difficult at first! I am proud to say now, that after 3 days, I have picked up a bit of the language and have been asked on several occasions if I speak Spanish! I must be doing something right… J
We are in store for another extremely long day tomorrow so I must say goodbye for now. Take care, stay safe, and I will see you soon on the field!
