2006 NBA All-Star Rosters

(Statistics through February 2)

Eastern StartersWestern Starters
Allen Iverson - PHI - G:
33.6 ppg - 7.6 apg - 1.9 stls

Now in his 10th NBA season, Allen Iverson is playing as hard and as well as he ever has. The league's second-leading scorer is also among the leaders in assists and steals and is one of the most exciting players to watch in the NBA.
image image Steve Nash - PHO - G:
19.1 ppg - 11.3 apg - 42.2 3pt%

The reigning NBA MVP is starting in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. It seems like just about everybody on the Suns is having a career year and a lot of that can be attributed to the play of Steve Nash, who is one of six Phoenix Suns with career highs in scoring this year.
Dwyane Wade - MIA - G:
26.8 ppg - 6.9 rpg - 6.9 apg

Dwyane Wade just keeps getting better and better. The third-year guard is putting up career highs in scoring, rebounds, assists, steals and both field goal and free throw percentage. This is the first time Wade has been named an All-Star starter.
image image Tracy McGrady - HOU - G:
26.7 ppg - 7.1 rpg - 5.0 apg

Somewhat hobbled by injuries this year, Tracy McGrady is still among the NBA's top scorers and is one of the best rebounding guards in the league.
LeBron James - CLE - F:
31.0 ppg - 6.9 rpg - 6.4 apg

The top pick in the 2003 draft is making his second straight start in the All-Star Game. LeBron James is scoring more than 30 points per game and is shooting a fantastic percentage from the field. James looks to carry the Cavs to the playoffs for the first time in ten years.
image image Kobe Bryant - LAL - F:
35.7 ppg - 5.5 rpg - 4.3 apg

Kobe Bryant is putting together the best offensive season since Michael Jordan in 1986-87. He has broken the 60-point barrier twice, including an 81-poing effort against the Toronto Raptors. He is still an excellent defender and is basically willing the Los Angeles Lakers into the playoffs.
Jermaine O'Neal - IND - F:
20.9 ppg - 9.8 rpg - 2.1 blks

Jermaine O'Neal is having another solid season as one of the top power forwards in the NBA, but he will miss the All-Star Game with a groin tear that should keep him out of action until the end of February.
image image Tim Duncan - SAS - F:
19.9 ppg - 11.6 rpg - 2.0 blks

Tim Duncan's scoring is down a little this season, but the two-time NBA MVP is putting together another outstanding season. He is among the league leaders in rebounds and blocks and has the Spurs in contention for the top seed in the West.
Shaquille O'Neal - MIA - C:
19.3 ppg - 9.5 rpg - 1.5 blks

Statistically, Shaquille O'Neal is having the worst season in his 14-year career, but much of that can be attributed to less playing time as the Miami Heat try to keep the big man healthy for the playoffs. He is still the most dominant centre in the NBA and can put up a lot of points in a big hurry.
image image Yao Ming - HOU - C:
19.8 ppg - 9.2 rpg - 1.3 blks

Though he has missed 21 games with a toe injury, Yao Ming is having the best statistical season of his career. Yao is putting up career highs in scoring and rebounds and continues to be one of the premiere big men in the NBA.
